This is a remaster of an older tune; the main difference is that I re-did the bass part and “re-amped” the guitars (i.e. swapped the original Native Instruments Guitar Rig plugins out for Neural DSP equivalents). The verse is heavily inspired by Eric Johnson’s track “Trademark”, while the chorus sounds a lot more like Mike Oldfield to me and the final guitar solo heads distinctly in the direction of Dave Gilmour.
If I remember correctly, all of the guitar parts on this are my JS1000. The plugins are the NDSP Soldano for the lead and a combination of the NDSP Mesa Boogie IIC+ Suite, Archetype Gojira, Archetype Plini, and the AmpKnob Rev C for the rhythm parts. The Drums are EzDrummer 3 but, if I remember correctly, I programmed all of the beats myself.
Originally I used the Guitar Rig Hiwatt-esque lead tone but Guitar Rig has, unfortunately, been a dead end for a long time; not only do they keep updating it without really changing anything, but also Native Instruments a) keep leaving the old presets out of the new versions and b) make it very difficult to migrate preset setting between versions, so you either have to keep all previous versions installed or painstakingly migrate every single track in every single project to the new plugin.
